Taken from this coming weekend’s release Season High, available for pre-order here.
Last week, Little Dragon liberated their new visual for ‘Sweet’, which sees Yukimi Nagano as the centrepiece, interspersed with footage of the band on tour. In addition, we also now know the name of their new album — titled Season High — which is set to be released 14th April. Nagano explains (source):
We have grown through the years but the making of this album has been a struggle. As much as our band is based on a deep friendship we are four strong wills who find it really frustrating to compromise. We have gotten better at that though, but it’s still a real battle. It gets harder and harder for us to make records but we still love it. Sometimes it feels like we have 100% passion and life or death emotions yet there’s a pointlessness with everything. We want to exist in our own bubble where we can stay curious about sounds. The magic feeling that sounds can sprinkle over any boring day is what got us all hooked. That feeling of escapism …maybe because Gothenburg is a grey place for most of the year, our curse and blessing is that we never quite succeed.
Enjoy ‘Sweet’ above and pre-order Season High via the band’s official website.
Since the release (and subsequent promotion) of 2014’s Nabuma Rubberband, Little Dragon has been fairly dormant…until now. Above lies the band’s new visual for ‘High’, directed by Ossian Melin; in addition, they’ll be heading on a North American tour, beginning next month (Goldlink and Glass Animals will provide some support). Check out those dates below.

While Pharrell Williams has been taking over the world, his Neptunes brother from another mother has been continuing his forays into music as well (albeit more conservatively). Today, we get to hear that “brother” Chad Hugo do his thing over Little Dragon’s already-dope ‘Killing Me’ (below), effectively making the track even better.
Little Dragon liberates their new visual for ‘Pretty Girls’, a very dope concept (courtesy of the band and director NABIL) which picks up from where ‘Klapp Klapp‘ left off — in this clip, the woman we saw before is kidnapped and forced to do (what I can only assume to be) ‘pretty girl’-related activity.
Nabuma Rubberband is out now.
Continuing promotion of the new album Nabuma Rubberband, Little Dragon appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to perform two cuts from the album, the hit single ‘Klapp Klapp’ and ‘Killing Me’ (below).
