PERFORMANCES: 2015 Billboard Awards

Yesterday was this year’s Billboard Awards, which featured performances from Pitbull, Ed Sheeran, Chris Brown, Iggy Azalea, Nicki Minaj, Wiz Khalifa, Mariah Carey and more…you can check those out below (which you still can, we imagine they won’t be up on YouTube for too long).

The standout (for the wrong reasons)? Kanye West, who’s performance of ‘All Day’ and ‘Black Skinhead’ was pretty much non-existent, both due to the network’s horrible censorship timing (maybe they just didn’t care) and the pyrotechnics that blocked most of the performance’s view. Ah well.

Estelle Speaks On Growing Up Black In The US Vs. The UK (Video)

Categories INTERVIEWS/DISCUSSIONSPosted on

During a recent interview with Vlad TV, Estelle breaks down the interesting concept of growing up Black in the United States vs. growing up in her hometown of the United Kingdom (her response quote in a nutshell: “not much”). She does seem to feel that America has made greater strides thanks to the power of money and a Black president (which could be debatable).
