This is dope: Action Bronson recently revealed his latest single ‘Baby Blue’ (which features Chance The Rapper and was produced by Mark Ronson), which you can check out here. Above, you can see Bronson and Ronson as work on the track in the studio. Also great to see, some collaboration from none other than former BBC Radio 1 presenter Zane Lowe, who even gets in front of the mic during the track’s production.
By the way, Mr. Wonderful officially makes landfall 25th March; you can preorder on iTunes.
This is super dope: Killer Mike took to Instagram to reveal that he and El-P (together making up the Rap duo Run The Jewels) were recently hanging out with Bristol Electro-Trip-Hop group Massive Attack in the studio, vibing to Bruce Springsteen and — hopefully — creating some collaborative magic. Let’s hope.
REVOLT TV scored some dope footage of Big Sean in the studio with Kanye West and Pusha T, presumably during the creation of Sean’s forthcoming album Dark Sky Paradise (released 25th February; preorder here).
In the clip, you hear Kanye’s take on the Detroit rhymer’s continued success (with Pusha co-signing in the background):
You a big artist now… ‘I Don’t F*** With You’ is only gonna get bigger if you drop this song with you, Drake, and me. If you drop that s***, that’s just gonna give you more legs. N***as is gonna be salivating.
Everything is happening for a reason. This s*** is lining up beautiful—synergy. You’re on God’s path, man, and only success can happen to you now.
FACT Mag has a dope series where they give artists/producers 10 minutes of studio time to come up with some dope music, and their latest contestants were the Grime/Hip-Hop collective The HeavyTrackerz.
Utilizing some cool samples (‘Ice Rink’ and something from Team America), the result of their 10 minutes is below. Very dope.
Simply put, Greg, Raf (and more) of 2morrows Victory have been laying the foundation for their return to the scene over the past 12 months, and the above visual shows that. Trust and believe, you’ll be hearing more about these guys in 2015.
This year has been an important year for us. We have been behind scenes for a big part of this year, and we are very excited to share what we have been working on for 2015. Thank you all for staying down this far. Lets see what 2015 has for us!
We haven’t been following Meek Mill’s Instagram as much as the next man (or any other of his social networks), but the Philly emcee has occasionally teases his followers with a quick snippet of new music while in the studio (before deleting the posts). As the internet works, someone took the time to compile some of those clips for us to enjoy. From what it sounds like, Dreams Worth More Than Money is going to be a serious problem when it drops this year.
Production conglomerate the HeavyTrackerz have kicked off a day-to-day vlog that shows a pretty personal look into what a typical day is for the hitmakers. Check it out above.
Rihanna has been working pretty feverishly on the completion of her new album (now titled R8), which up until last month wasn’t even known to the public. Above, you can check out her latest Instagram post which features a track apparently titled ‘Kiss It Better’, which was reportedly written by Rihanna, Jeff Bhasker, Glass John and Natalia Kills.
At this rate, it wouldn’t surprise us if Rihanna let go of her project before New Years….in related news, folks are stating that Rih Rih is also with child. If this is true, one can only wonder who the father might be (Drake or Chris Brown, perhaps?)…
Ever since his interview with The Breakfast Club, Timbaland has been absolutely giddy regarding his artist, the Chicago-bred emcee Tink. Taking with Hang w/, the legendary producer lets fans into his studio to hear Tink’s track ‘UFO’, which also features OutKast’s Andre 3000.
Check it out above — I think we can expect an official leak of ‘UFO’ soon.
Rihanna was recently hanging around in her studio, and decided to take to Instagram to tease fans with a dope new record, which we hope will be released in full soon (given that she’s reportedly been moving forward on a new album, that soon-to-come drop is very possible).
Check it out above (titled ‘Nothing’s Promised’, perhaps?) and give us your thoughts.
Big K.R.I.T.’s Cadillactica is officially in stores now; in the latest episode of the Mississippi rapper’s Making Of series, we get to see him and the legendary Raphael Saadiq in the studio for the creation of ‘Soul Food’.
Dubz recently linked up with Colours Miyagi to cook up something serious, which will presumably end up on his forthcoming sequel to Ard Doe. Check out what went down above.
