The fashion and style-forward Tinie Tempah recently invited High Snobiety into his East London home (“a bike ride away to Shoreditch House”), which was revealed to have been purchased from Alexander McQueen’s estate (the late icon was a previous owner):
My house was designed by David Adjaye who’s a world renowned architect and interior designer. I kept a lot of the original features and fittings McQueen had left, and just decided to modify it into my character.
It’s a pretty big Victorian House, but it was designed for someone with a bachelor lifestyle so it only has two bedrooms. My favorite part of my house is the basement: I redesigned the interior, and I exposed a brick wall inside and added a few fun features. I wanted a den where I could entertain my friends.
Other notable pieces in the house: a pair of Back To The Future Nike Mags (“…which I bought at the Nike/Michael J Fox fundraiser for Parkinson’s a couple years back”) that he treats like public artwork, an game arcade, popcorn machine and a panoramic roof in his bedroom. All-in-all, bachelor stuff.
