UPDATE: Foals & Dislosure have been added to this year’s Reading & Leeds as co-headliners. Also: Imagine Dragons, Fetty Wap and Jack Ü join the bill.

UPDATE #2: Reading & Leeds just got a lot better (not that it was bad): Little Simz, Kano, Nas, Yung Lean and Fekky are among new acts locked in for the festival(s).

The Reading and Leeds festivals have begun announcing acts for next year; among them, legendary Rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers and rising star Rat Boy will be taking to the stage(s). In addition, The 1975, Slaves, Boy Better Know, Hinds, Twenty One Pilots, The Courteeners, Crossfaith and DJ EZ.

Festival curator Melvin Benn spoke on the news:

I’m thrilled to be able to announce Red Hot Chili Peppers as the first headliner for Reading & Leeds 2016, as a festival exclusive. Their incredible live show will be an unforgettable headline performance at the UK’s biggest music festival. We’ve still got some really exciting names to announce and I can’t wait to reveal the rest of the line up. It’s going to be our best year yet.

You can get your tickets for either festival using the links below. It all goes down 26th to 28th August at Richfield Avenue (Reading) and Bramhan Park (Leeds).
