Kesha Receives Human Rights Campaign’s Visibility Award (Video)
This past Saturday, Kesha was a guest of honour at the Human Rights Campaign Equality dinner in Nashville, where she received their Visibility award, given to “high profile individuals who use their profile to advance and advocate for the LGBT movement. Recipients are selected because they are closely aligned with HRC’s mission to ensure equality for all Americans” (said by Kesha’s presenter, singer Wrabel).
Above, you can see the presentation and Kesha’s acceptance of the award, which also seemed to allude to her current situation with estranged producer Dr. Luke:
My message to you today is don’t be afraid to speak up against any injustice you experience. Don’t let people scare and shame you in changing the things about yourself that make you unique.
