MUST CHECK OUT: Otchere’s ‘Icons Of Wu’ Exhibition
This is very dope: renowned artist-photographer Eddie Otchere will be holding a one-day photo exhibition titled Icons Of Wu, which will showcase classic, “digitally reduxed” portraits of the Wu-Tang Clan, taken over a five-year period during the group’s prime.
In addition, the exhibition (which sees support from 87S & Co.) will also see a production workshop and panel talk courtesy of Soul Labels (featuring Jayson Winters, Alexander Nut, NOLAY, Eddie himself and more), a record stall with Pure Vinyl Records artist Ty and live performances from VCF (led by Raphael Powell), DJ Rumz (who will be providing a Wu-Tang tribute) and video installation artist Daniel Oduntan.
This all takes place 5th March at Brixton East 1871 in South London from 2PM. Even doper: on 9th March, Otchere will then destroy the digital prints on the day of The Notorious B.I.G.’s passing.
