A little ways back, we saw the rather overkill response to Kanye West being named a headliner of this year’s Glastonbury Festival: from co-founder Emily Eavis receiving death threats to a petition being created in the hopes of West’s removal from the bill.

Now, Kanye West has responded to the detractors in a new interview with Q Magazine, where he calls the petition “an insult to music fans all over the world” (a clever flip of the message attached to said petition). Other notable quotes in said feature also include his thoughts on artists using their voice (“90 per cent of celebrities only use their voice for the purpose of making money for themselves”) and his late mother Donda (“if I had never moved to L.A. she’d be alive”).

You can read more by getting your copy of the magazine issue here…as far as Glastonbury is concerned, Kanye will be taking the stage later today (Saturday).
