Some of Pop Music’s Biggest Managers Have Come Together To Form Super-Group
Spearheaded by Guy Oseary, some of your favourite artist’s managers have united to form a new super-management venture called Maverick. Comprised of this ‘super-group’ are as follows:
Ron Laffitte of Laffitte Management;
Caron Veazey of (Pharrell’s media entity) I Am Other;
Gee Roberson and Cortez Bryant of Blueprint Group (who both manage YMCMB artists Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj);
Reign Deer’s Larry Rudolph and Adam Leber (Miley Cyrus, Britney Spears);
Quest Management’s Scott Rodger; and
Clarence Spalding of Spalding Entertainment.
This Maverick — which officially began its new venture this past Friday — is an evolution of the Maverick that Oseary and Madonna built in 1992 (before it closed in 2007). Their first order of business is to team up with Live Nation in an effort to “reinvent a broken industry”…being that all parties have an arm’s reach in every corner of the industry (not to mention Oseary’s massive wealth and power within the media/tech industries), we’d imagine that (at the very least) they’ll be able to revolutionise entertainment’s current stratosphere.
