Ke$ha Accuses Dr. Luke Of “Sex Abuse” In New Lawsuit; Dr. Luke Sues Back
Ke$ha and Dr. Luke’s differences (whatever they may be in reality) have come to a head, spilling out into the public in the form of a double lawsuit.
According to the singer, the hit-maker producer — who signed Ke$ha to his label when she was 18 — sexually, physically and verbally abused her during their business relationship; not to be outdone, Dr. Luke is calling the statements “outrageous and untrue”, as well as an attempt to get a release from her contract. The lawsuits were filed in L.A., literally within hours of eachother.
Her complaint accuses him of giving her a “date rape drug” that allowed him to sexually assault her while she was unconscious.
He allegedly used constant verbal insults — such as calling her “a fat f–king refrigerator” — “to make her feel completely worthless and maintain complete control over her life.”
In recent past, Ke$ha developed bulimia nervosa and dealt with rehabilitation as a result; she’s blaming the above accusations on dealing with the disorder.
As far as the defense, Dr. Luke’s attorneys have also responded:
As set forth in the complaint that we have filed on behalf of Dr. Luke, Kesha and her mother are engaged in a campaign of publishing outrageous and untrue statements about Dr. Luke to third parties, including scurrilous and false statements of purported physical and mental abuse of Kesha…We are confident that Dr. Luke will prevail in all matters, and that our client will be awarded substantial damages for this malicious conduct.
