300 Entertainment’s New Direction, Artists Revealed In New Promo
Lyor Cohen, Kevin Liles and Todd Moscowitz are ready to relaunch (or rather, officially launch) their baby 300 Entertainment for the world to see, and it’s all begun with a new promo campaign titled ‘It’s A New Day’.
In the promo, the bosses and their artists — which now include the likes of Jacquie Lee, Eric Bellinger, Mike Stud, Migos, ASTR, Riff Raff and more spread around as artists and partners through their own respective brands — are preparing to take over the world through their art form (there’s plenty more to see through other outlets, such as the company’s Instagram page). They have plenty of ammo, too: with well over £9 million in backing companies like Google and a serious partnership with Twitter, 300 Entertainment looks to be the next big brand to revolutionise the music industry since Roc Nation.
Cohen himself spoke to Billboard on the new promotion, which was a rebirth of sorts after many folks saw signs — a tombstone, deathly quotes, Lyor’s position as advisor with MADE Music — that the company was at its end:
We anticipated it…We thought that’s probably the likely scenario, that people would think we were something else — it was just fun. A couple of A&R people got a couple of phone calls but we explained it had to do with the site, not the company.
