The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul recently stopped by The Breakfast Club to promote her forthcoming project The London Sessions, which is an experiment in the merge of two cultures, helmed by Blige’s voice and backed by some of the most notable rising artists and producers in the UK.
In addition to the album, Mary J. also spoke on working with her latest collaborators, that whole chicken fiasco (remember that?), being the legend that she is in the R&B game, some of her new R&B peers (ex. Miguel, Sam Smith) and old (Jagged Edge and SWV, who both have returned with reality shows, apparently), her connection to Hip-Hop and much more.
If you haven’t already, you can check out her latest single ‘Whole Damn Year’ here.
